Six Reasons You Should Delete WhatsApp
Big Tech is famous for its nefarious data collection methods. But, for whatever reason, Facebook-owned WhatsApp has flown relatively under the radar. With 2 billion monthly users, the app is the world's most popular messenger service. Since it implemented end-to-end encryption in 2016, people mostly trust that the content of their WhatsApp messages is secure – which seems to be true. But that shouldn’t be our only consideration when it comes to choosing a messenger platform.

iPhone 11 Pro is Sending Location Data to Apple no Matter the Settings
As reported by KrebsOnSecurity, the iPhone 11 Pro is intermittently sending the device location data back to Apple no matter how hard the user may try to disable all location services. As the researcher confirms, there are some unknown system services that require geolocation data, and these settings are not accessible at all. That said, even if the user disables every location service on all applications and services, there will still be some that will try to grab the device location and momentarily activate the Location Services.

Facebook admits to another data leak, saying that up to 100 developers accessed people's data from Groups
More than a year after Facebook clamped down on how much personal data third parties could see, the company has found some app developers still had access to people's data through Facebook Groups. In the wake of the Cambridge Analytica scandal Facebook tightened its rules on what personal data app developers could access. Following broad changes made in 2018, app developers' access to groups was restricted to content, as opposed to the data of individuals belonging to those groups such as names and profile pictures.

Apple, Google have apologized for privacy issues but Facebook is just sorry they got caught
Apple's shutting down all of Facebook's internal apps seemed like a big deal, but it's just business as usual for the social media company —violate agreements and trust, get caught, find another way to do the same thing and move on. Everyone apologizes, but no one actually says sorry. The very word apology has even regularly been turned into an insult, such as when you hear politicians saying "We apologize if anyone was affected."
