The WarnerMedia platform has picked up streaming rights to Doctor Who and other British series as part of a long-term deal with BBC Studios. All 11 seasons of the beloved sci-fi show's 21st century iteration will be available on HBO Max when it launches in spring 2020. Climate Change - The Facts, shown on BBC One on Thursday, was a "rousing call to arms", said the Guardian. In a four-star review, the Times said the veteran presenter "took a sterner tone... as though his patience was nearly spent". Sir David, 92, has called global warming "our greatest threat in thousands of years".

China suddenly takes BBC news off air after Muslim detention camps mentioned
China censored a TV report about its detention of more than a million Uighur Muslims in “re-education camps” by suddenly cutting off the broadcast, according to a BBC reporter. Stephen McDonell filmed the moment the World Service Newsday programme went off air as he began to speak about the treatment of the Turkic ethnic minority in the northwestern Xinjiang province. Mr McDonell, the BBC’s China correspondent, said a similar thing happened the previous day during discussion of the same issue.

'Planet Earth III,' 'Frozen Planet II' Coming to BBC America
BBC America will continue bringing viewers closer to nature with new installments of the Planet Earth and Frozen Planet series. Frozen Planet II, a follow-up to the 2011-12 series, is set to premiere in 2021. Planet Earth III will follow in 2022. The two shows join the previously announced One Planet: Seven Worlds, which is set to air in 2020. BBC America is extending its relationship with the BBC Studios Natural History Unit for five years.
