Michigan State star Denzel Valentine offered a guarantee on Saturday that the Spartans will win the national championship this season, according to the Detroit News. Valentine made the statement when asked if he would make a guarantee similar to the one Mateen Cleaves made while playing for the Spartans in 2000. That season, Michigan State defeated Florida 89–76 to win its first national championship since 1979.
