What are you listening to on your way home?

My morning commute tends to be pretty low key listening to the news for the day. The ride home I like to listen to classic rock as I sit in traffic.

I have a Pandora station that plays me a mix of Gorillaz, Parov Stelar, Moby, Goldfish, and some miscellaneous electro/house stuff. Basically I told it a few of my favorite bands and then added more as I was introduced to/reminded of more, so now Pandora has a pretty good idea of what I like.

I was listening to Public Radio and they had a pretty sweet playlist going on, notably: Pixies, Iggy Pop, The Cars, Built to Spill, Band of Horses, Wilco and several others... It was a nice commute

I have been listening to Sirius/XM lately since I bought a subscription.

I've been listening to RadioClassics, which airs old radio shows from the 30s/40s/50s. Awesome stuff to listen to.

I go back and forth between SiriusXM Chill and Podcast Beyond!

How much does something like SiriusXM cost? Would you say it's pretty similar to the cost of spotify premium? Granted you have the added cost of installation if you don't have a receiver already installed.

I pay like $15/mo. for the 80-ish channels I get. I could pay significantly less but there are some channels on the higher end of the channel list I really enjoy so I subscribe to their medium pack. Their free trial stuff gives you a really good taste of what the service offers too.

TIL I had no idea that they had packs like that. I had always assumed you paid one price and got all the channels. Still not a bad price for a decent sized selection. Thanks for the info.

Absolutely! Personally I think it's totally worth it. I use it every single day, way more than other things I spend $10-ish bucks a month on. Glad I could be of service.

In my morning commute I'm either asleep, studying or playing games on my phone. On my way home, it's time to listen to some heavy metal and rock music.

I've just recently found out about Dan Carlin's - Hardcore History podcast series which is currently keeping me company on my daily commute. Really recommend this to any history fan this stuff is amazing.

Normally though I have just morning radio on while I drive to work in the mornings, most of the time it's news and some current top 40 stuff. Driving home I'm all about a good playlist on Spotify, my tastes are a bit erratic going from hard rock to classical to cheesy pop, you name it I'll listen to it. Whatever I feel like when I get out of work I load up a playlist and go wild!

I have an mp3-player filled with podcasts. Today I was catching up on NPR Sunday Puzzle and Gimlet's Reply All.

New Orleans Bounce. I recently discovered that it's a whole genre and want to get to know it better.

Slightly different to what you were asking, but if you would allow me to do some shameless advertising: Spotify. I can listen to literally anything I wan't, whenever I want. I think I started paying for premium about 7 months ago, and I have not regretted it once.

You and me both. I love not having to listen to adds, easily worth the 10 bucks a month for me. Plus if I get tired of my lists I can always find something I've never heard of to listen to.

Traffic... I'm cycling to work and wearing headphones is not really safe while on a bicycle on the public way.

I love listening to Louis Armstrong and the sorts. Just makes me relaxed and happy to hear his voice
