I have an application called Pocket and it's quite handy; whenever I find a long article that I'd like to read later, I click on the Pocket icon in my browser; this sends a stripped-down version of the article to my phone for later reading.

I've quickly become dependent on an app called Join (Android/Chrome/PC only right now.). It allows you to quickly send files, links, location and text to and from your computer(s) and other Android devices. It also allows sending/receiving texts from your PC, shows notifications from your phone on your PC, and it can sync your device clipboards so text copied on one can be pasted on the other. Still in beta, but it's very stable and it's easy to sign up to be a tester.

Runner up: Google Opinion Rewards, because it pays me (USD 0.10-0.99) to take short surveys, effectively buying me apps, songs or movies once a month or so.

    Redshift. Yeah,I really like it.

Redshift is an application that adjusts the computer display's color temperature based upon the time of day. The program is free software, inspired by the proprietary f.lux, and is intended to reduce eye strain as well as insomnia.[3]

Redshift transitions the computer display's color temperature evenly between daytime and night temperatures to allow the user's eyes to slowly adapt. At night,

Redshift is primarily distributed for and used on the Linux operating system.
