I wear a certain coat for some of my exams. It happened accidentally (it kept raining every time my math class had an exam) and became a habit where I feel much more comfortable when I wear it and it puts me in the exam "mood".
I leave baking trays in my oven when not in use, peacock feathers aren't allowed in the house (evil eye), I still salute magpies and whenever I have to break handholding to go around an obstacle I mutter "bread and butter" when we join up again.
Hubby says "white rabbits" on the first of every month when he wakes up.
Oh an I don't discuss plans with anyone before its actually happening because its a jinx. And not walking over graves too..
Hmm that's actually a lot of random shit I do without thinking..
I do this too! And it works. Every time I put shoes on the bed, I end up sleeping with sand. I don't know what magic is going on, but I know not to put shoes up there.
Its because the only time that should happen is at your wake. Same with having the foot of your bed point towards the door, because you get carried out rooms feet first in your coffin.
There were a couple things my parents drilled into my head. One was to never lay a hat on a bed or chair. Something about how they don't belong there and it's bad luck. The second was to always put the right shoe, pant leg, shirt sleeve, etc on first because "it's good luck," according to my dad. I don't know if I believe all of that our not, but to this day I still do both of those things. I'm almost 28 now.
I'm pretty superstitious when it comes to dice (and even characters). I have dice sets I believe favor/hate certain characters/settings/checks (one of my dice sets will not allow a character to pass a perception check for crap) and if a die starts "acting up" and rolling bad I'll probably swap it out for the night if I have another die that doesn't hate the character/setting. Specific examples are my first blue set hates anything except Pokemon settings and my green set loves gay characters and getting them into sex. Also Roll20 hates animal companions and one of my Pokemon characters.

Does looking to see if my cell phone really vibrated all the time count?
On NFL Sundays (or Monday or Thursday, I guess) I refuse to wear my team's colors. No orange, no navy/shade of blue.
Bears or Broncos fan?
Broncos. I hate Chicago everything.
Chargers...I hope we're able to win a game against you this season.
As a Badgers fan, I want MG3 to do well for you guys, but I'll be excited as fuck to watch Ware, Miller, and Shane Ray tear him and Rivers to pieces.
I think our beefed up o-line should be able to hold them back. And then, Rivers to M80 for days :)
To check my room door every 30 seconds to see if a relative isn't opening it (it happens only past midnight cough cough )
Pro tip: It's embarrassing if you let them get to you. Take dominance and pride it in. People will leave you alone or join in.
Well, I have... special tastes one could say. They would definitely leave me alone. x3

Could you explain the bread and butter one? That seems pretty random.
Its supposed to avoid arguments or losing your partner when you are forced to separate, bread and butter is inseparable once joined :)
I still try to avoid cracks in the sidewalk even though I logically know it won't break my mother's back.
