A question about oilpaint

Hey there! :-)

This year will be the start of a transition for me regarding paint. I want to (slowly) switch from acrylics to oil based paints. I have some experience with the application of oils, but I want to skip the step of using ready-to-go paints in tubes. As in: I want to make my own paints with pigments and oil. My reasoning is that I have a better control of the quality, a consistency that is more leaning towards personal wishes in said quality and also the colours themselves.

Who has experience with paint making in this tribe and is willing to share any tips, tricks and trade secrets, so I have some guidance with it?
