Migrating to /t/artists?
Hey, guys. All twelve of you. Hi!
I'm glad this tribe is kicking off - when I made it, I wanted a place where you're free to post your artwork, get feedback, post articles relating to the art field, and discuss anything related to art. I think that's going well!
I made this tribe really late and I was still in a Reddit-mindset and thinking of subreddits I used to subscribe to. After using the site more and looking at other tribes, I realized adding "lounge" in the title was a little silly and redundant.
Would it make sense to you guys to migrate over to /t/artists instead? I'm thinking this for a couple reasons:
- It's easier to type and search. For new members, I know that when I'm searching for new communities, I just type in tribe names in the URL until I find something. I don't know if new members will consider thinking of "artistlounge" as an artist's tribe.
- It'll still be the exact same content. Mostly just a name change to make things make more sense. What the tribe is about is essentially an artist's lounge, which would be the same as an artist's tribe - so would it make more sense to go there instead?
I feel a little silly asking this, but I feel like it'd be easier later on in the future. What do you guys think?

Well everything is still pretty new, and if you were planning on doing it now would be the best time. I do agree artist would be easier to search though searching art brings this tribe up as well.
Cool beans! I think I'll sticky this topic if anyone stumbles in here at some point.
I could also leave this tribe running as more of an artist's chatterbox type of place? Although I'm not sure how well that'd work with Snapzu's system.
With a small community its best not to divide it up.
I love how easy it is to move snaps! Though discussions aren't treated the same way. Do you think I should recreate my canvas size discussion on /t/artists?
Oh, sure! :) I'll reply to that again. Then I guess you can just remove it from here. Yeah I think we'll just use /t/artists, you're right. Good not to divide it up when it's so small right now.
