Warhammer: Chaosbane - Slayer Edition on Xbox Series X

The Warhammer universe is one of those things that comes packed with tremendous amount of lore to set any type of game. In recent years we have seen how The Vermintide have managed to offer attractive multiplayer action proposals. After setting a good result with Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor Martyr, Nacon Interactive raised a similar concept, but with the Warhammer universe. Now it's time to review the complete and improved version for the new generation consoles, and present the Analysis of Warhammer: Chaosbane - Slayer Edition on Xbox Series X.

The reality is that this game was released a few months ago without looking like a game. It was unfinished and lacklustre (it could really get a little help of the potential of new hardware optimizations). However, this does not mean that they can't improve this title even further the state the game was launched. Enhancements in resolution and performance, would make this game something especially interesting.

On an artistic level. Warhammer: Chaosbane offered a proposition loaded with really rich in detail, just like Inquisitor Martyr. Thanks to this, Warhammer Chaosbane is a game that offers a really outstanding overall design. The recreation of the scenarios featured in the lore of the game universe, are put together with a very high level of detail. Both the modelling and the textures are presented in detail and signed with very precise lighting allowing everything to come to life.

On the other hand we have a strong, consistent and well executed soundtrack. And this comes with the amazing inclusion of voice overs that will tell us, like reading a novel, the events as they happen in the game. Without resorting to cinematics that take the player out of context, fans of this universe will enjoy this game without measure, more than the version.

There is an interesting and intricate class system that makes it even more immersive. The Warhammer Chaosbane classes introduces a huge amount of variability, matching every game play style.

Among the first things that we noticed while playing is that there are hardly any delays between phases, with very short loading times. Just a few seconds and the map is loaded and playable. Obviously, there is no point of comparison between the older versions of the game in Xbox One.The truth is that the map optimization is one of those things that are appreciated in a game.
