The Case of the Missing Brady Jersey
Chapter 1. “We have a situation,” the lieutenant began. His call interrupted my second nightcap. “I’m listening,” I said. “A football jersey has gone missing.” I swallowed and let out a low whistle. “The owner is one Tom Brady,” he said. “A.k.a. husband of Gisele Bündchen, New England Patriots quarterback and most valuable player of tonight’s Super Bowl. Ring any bells?”

They were the first Redskins to play in the Super Bowl. Decades later, they’re paying the price.
Football fans of a certain age will remember the Super Bowl VII matchup between George Allen’s Redskins and Don Shula’s Dolphins in 1973. Miami became — and remains — the only team in National Football League history to finish the regular season and the postseason undefeated. Yet Washington, making its first-ever Super Bowl appearance, and playing in its first NFL championship game since 1945, was slightly favored to win.

The Story of New England Patriots Owner Robert Kraft
The New England Patriots are playing in the Super Bowl. Again. This will be the Patriots’ 10th Super Bowl appearance since 1996. The 2018 season was the 18th consecutive year in which the Patriots have finished above .500. The Patriots have gone to the playoffs all but five times in the past 24 years. That is 80% of the time. No other American football team has ever accomplished this feat. Edward DeBartolo Jr.’s (1980s-1990s) San Francisco 49ers are a distant second. The 49ers went to the playoffs 15 times in DeBartolo’s 23-year tenure. That was 65% of the time.
