Activision Explains Why It Broke Up With Bungie
As part of Activision Blizzard's earnings report today, the company discussed its decision to split off from Bungie on the development of the Destiny franchise. President and Chief Operating Officer Coddy Johnson started off by saying Activision Blizzard is "confident" that it was the right decision for both Activision Blizzard and Bungie to go separate ways. Describing the breakup as a "mutual, amicable" agreement, Johnson said the deal is the "right path forward" for each entity.

100 Animal Activists Lock Down Farm After Footage Shows 'Extreme Violence'
Australian animal liberation activists locked down a farm at the end of last week, after footage emerged reportedly showing 'extreme violence inflicted on mother pigs and their babies'. This was the second time the 'Meat the Victim' activists have locked down Glasshouse Country Farms in Beerburrum. One scene shows babies being thrown across the room. Another scene shows a mother pig being killed in a laneway, thrashing on the ground for some time until she is dragged out by workers as others watch on.

On a Saturday evening in 2017, just before the Inauguration, I gathered with about forty other protesters outside the Catholic church that Paul Ryan attends in Janesville, Wisconsin. We quietly passed out flyers as parishioners filed in for mass. The flyers noted that Ryan was championing drastic changes to Medicaid that would be devastating for disabled people like us. Within minutes, the priest came out clutching a flyer. He angrily told us to get off the property. He said this was neither the time nor place for protest. We kept flyering. He went back inside the church. Within minutes, police were there, threatening to arrest us.
