Java and Flash both vulnerable—again—to new 0-day attacks

Java bug is actively exploited. Flash flaws will likely be targeted soon.

    UGH! I REALLY wish I could banish both of these from my machines forever, but every time I try I have to reinstall due to lost web functionality.

      Couldn't agree more. Successfully weaned myself off Java, but Flash sadly remains a day-to-day problem.

        I have been using two firefox extensions: "Youtube All HTML5" and "HTML5 Youtube everywhere". Not perfect but mostly work. I still have flash but it doesn't often run any more.

    2. Set Shockwave Flash to Ask to Activate
