Tonya Couch, 'affluenza' teen's mom, released
Tonya Couch, the mother of "affluenza" teen Ethan Couch, was released from jail Tuesday as expected, CNN affiliate KTVT reported. Her release comes a day after a judge lowered her bond from $1 million to $75,000. Wearing an electronic ankle monitor is part of her bond agreement. Authorities have accused Tonya Couch of helping her son leave the country to avoid a probation hearing that might have led to jail time for him.

I'm not a fan of either the kid or his mother, but the media attention they get is disproportionate and really shows how much the media is scraping the bottom of the barrel for 24-hour news content.
He's one spoiled brat whose lawyer used a shitty defense. Giving this any more attention is just pointless pandering.
