    PCs aren’t smartphones, which die in two to four years. I expect my PCs to last for at least ten years — especially when I’m running desktop Linux on them.

    Same here. I can easily get years out of a PC before say the motherboard crashes and burns. My Dell is already a refurbished machine and it can happily run Ubuntu on it for years!

    Windows 10 saved my older Latitude D630; he's about ten years old now; running 64 bit Windows 10 Pro as happily as a lark.
