Well,there is a slight improvement in the videos on this website. I now have a start arrow,instead of just a blank square,but they still won't play and there is a colored circle in the middle that should indicate "loading". Using Ubuntu and Firefox. Yeah,I've thought of getting a Chorme book and just putting UbuntuMATE on it.
Exactly the same problem on lubuntu with firefox, it did load eventually(longer than it should on a 15mb/s connection). You dodn't miss much, it's a slideshow not a video
Had a few chromebooks, didn't like the way your crouton install could be wiped at startup with an accidental press of the space bar and there was no option to change that.
My laptop now is a lenovo 120s 11" 4gb/32gb running lubuntu, cheaper than the majority of chromebooks here when on sale and the same price when not
