I'd really like to know if the power management works as well as a mac laptop. Does it go to sleep when you shut the lid and wake up and reconnect when you open the lid? Does it go from sleep to hibernate if the battery reaches below a certain level? How many times can you close the lid and put it to sleep and wake it up before memory cruft makes it require a reboot?

One of the eternal complaints about Linux is that it's hard to install. Really, Linux isn't difficult to install at all,

True that . It's as easy to install as Windows and takes only about fifteen minutes and includes the drivers. I did it for the first time13 years ago operating under the idea that it would be as easy to install as Windows (which it was) since I was getting rid of XP. You use the GUI and it's mostly next, next, choose your country/timezone,next,next,next, check the keyboard, user name/pass word, finish. . Easy as pie. In fact, the only stressful bit for me is installing my Firefox's bookmarks. I'll be installing ubuntu's latest LTS pretty soon. Anyway,it's nice to see more Ubuntu lappies being sold.

I wish the article had made it clear whether Linux was installed alongside Windows, or as the only OS. That's a pretty important point.
