I'm not as confident as him,but here is my two cents worth:
I don't think so.
I agree. It's beautiful and responsive. However, from my experience, it's just too locked down. I'm still duel booting with eos and UbuntuMATE,but for me UM is the clear winner. I wanted to get the latest eos,but they were behind on LTS and I could not install a different terminal or change the file manager to Caja. Maybe you can now,but I moved on to UbuntuMATE and am staying with it.
What does this mean? "Will be considering" or "is considering?" I don't think they will ever open source Windows.
I doubt it. Unless advertising starts up big time and high quality machines with Linux pre loaded show up in common shops,backed up by services supporting Linux, I don't see this happening.
I've said this for years,but I'm not holding my breath that it will ever happen.
Of course,as will everyone else, since criminals will be criminals.
