I'm not as confident as him,but here is my two cents worth:

Canonical finally exits the phone market

    I don't think so.

Elementary OS will gain significant ground

I agree. It's beautiful and responsive. However, from my experience, it's just too locked down. I'm still duel booting with eos and UbuntuMATE,but for me UM is the clear winner. I wanted to get the latest eos,but they were behind on LTS and I could not install a different terminal or change the file manager to Caja. Maybe you can now,but I moved on to UbuntuMATE and am staying with it.

Microsoft will considering open sourcing Windows

What does this mean? "Will be considering" or "is considering?" I don't think they will ever open source Windows.

Linux market share will break 5%

I doubt it. Unless advertising starts up big time and high quality machines with Linux pre loaded show up in common shops, backed up by services supporting Linux, I don't see this happening.

Chrome OS and Android will finally merge together

I've said this for years, but I'm not holding my breath that it will ever happen.

Linux hit by even more vulnerabilities

Of course,as will everyone else, since criminals will be criminals.
