Windows 10 now has ads for Edge browser in its search box – is Microsoft going too far in pestering users?
Windows 10 is now showing adverts within the search box which are attempting to persuade people to switch to Microsoft Edge, in yet another move to promote the revamped browser which runs the risk of starting to irritate people – given how prevalent these ads are seemingly becoming.

I am wondering if we are getting to a tipping point where Windows is annoying enough and Apple is expensive enough that people will switch more and more to Linux. I've already made the switch awhile back. I run on 100% Linux (well, not me, my computer of course LOL).
I wonder the same thing. I left Windows 13 years ago. I'm only using W10 now cause my Ubuntu tower on off button is screwed up and getting it fixed during an epidemic is not easy...All those years ago,I just thought XP was annoying. Oh my gonads,but I hate W10! Who in the world thought this cf was a good idea!!? And they also rigged it so it's virtually impossible to replace W10 with Linux...Add to that,I can't even use a virtual box with a light weight Linux distro cause of the lack of ram. on the crappy lappy..It just never ends. Thanks corona.
Yes, they have cleverly managed to make an OS that is even worse than W7 and its predecessors! I didn't think it was possible either! If I have to help anyone with their W10 computer I'm always amazed anyone is able to get any work done on those things. If you are trying to launch an app from the start menu that doesn't start with the letter 'A", well, good luck to you, you'll be scrolling down pretty far. Linux automatically - automatically!!! - categorizes start menu items so you never have to endlessly scroll to look for stuff.
Yeah,it's just a hot mess...
