Some 30,000 People Affected by Mysterious Disease in Pakistan
Islamabad, Dec 20 (Prensa Latina) Health authorities in the southern Pakistani province of Sindh are on alert for the spread of a mysterious disease that has infected about 30,000 people in a month, causing joint pain and fever. Various blood samples are being tested by the Aga Khan University Hospital, the Islamabad National Health Institute and the Sindh Government Laboratory, said Dr. Rehana Saba Bajwa, manager of the Malir hospital in the city of Karachi, the area most affected by the epidemic.
