A senior FIA official told that there were 75 banned outfits operating in the country among which 36 were active on social media. The accused were spreading false ideology on social media and hatred among other sects.

He further added that the three accused were registered members, activists, and supporters through social media pages, their followers are also getting verified, and if necessary, actions will also be taken against them.

The Cyber Forum added that; according to FIA officials, internet protocol (IP) addresses, mobile phone numbers, and email addresses used and associated with the social media pages are seized under surveillance.
