I notice they made the connection at the end, I was going to point out a lot of water treatment plants pump out into reservoirs and then that water is taken for drinking water.
The big problem is that most water treatment does not remove pharmaceuticals, so you could end up drinking someone else's birth control or chemo treatment, etc. The exposure to endocrine disruptors is already wreaking havoc on normal childhood development, with early onset of puberty and other problems... Do you really want to add the contents of everyone's medicine cabinet to your kids kool-aid?
