Hmm... I mean it's kinda cool and all but... the sample group is so small, peers and colleagues, gentrified in every way (apart from gender) and influenced by the same and particular cultural niche that there is hardly anything universal to be concluded from this except that hormonal college kids in the 70s liked to make out in the dark.
What would happen if you put in some 70yo retirees and middle-aged mechanics/nurses/construction workers/cleaners into the mix with the students? How about some gay people? I doubt social conventions would just magically melt away and everyone would be hugging and kissing just cuz there's no lights on and they won't meet again.
