At least that explains why they are cheap. I can imagine that in the future they'll just hire robots instead.
This definitely is the type of work that is ripe for automation. But that just opens a whole pandora's box of new problems.
I think the true skynet will be Amazon completely automated trying to eradicate humans by sending them junk packages.

That seems really horrible, especially compared to my "relaxed" programmer job.
Can we say that this is similar to jobs the industrial Chinese workforce have? Or is it even harsher in China, eg. Foxconn?
