Medium, while pretty and easy to use, is like an iPhone. Too locked down for my liking.
Good analogy, however I still share a lot of Medium content here because there's a lot of good talent there.
I don't like Medium so much becouse it is like be working for other people. Be on your own host, with you own advertising is a logical movement.
Agreed. If Medium ever closes shop, say goodbye to all your work. Although I'm sure there is some kind of export option. But the headache would be massive.
This is my approach as well. Medium in an effort to overly simplify has taken away anything that helps bloggers to stand out!
