Sounds like they were struggling financially before the algorithm change. To place the blame solely on Facebook sounds petty and irresponsible. There's an old saying/warning about putting all your eggs in one basket, maybe LittleThings should have paid attention to it.
It's only a matter of time before Pinterest and Twitter and the rest pivots in a similar fashion. Google also does algorithm updates, but they will always have a top 10 search results that you can rank for organically. Facebook has effectively shut off the fire hose for organic traffic and they're now pay-to-play.
