I like a lot about Betaworks and their projects, they're pretty much the only company I keep tabs on to see what else they're working on.
Instapaper is their best product, and they paid a good price for it.
I dont care what anyone says, Digg is the ultimate fail of web business and should be studied in business schools for decades.
I agree. The first big mistake was to not rein in super users,the second was to turn it into an ad server...I left when the superusers started controlling the front page.I moved to reddit and now I'm here. This seems to be the best of the bunch.
Was at Digg through the Patriot Wars. When they said you had to go through Facebook to log in, I quit, went to Reddit for two years, still go there for some things, and just joined here. I like what I see. Nicely put together and very professional.
Digg is just a blog now. There's nothing social about it.
