Saudi Arabia FM To German: We Do Not Need Your Weapons, We Will Find Them Somewhere Else
In an interview with German news agency DPA, published on Friday, al-Jubair criticized the German government and called Berlin decision to halt weapons exports to conflicting parties in Yemen “inconsistent”. Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates were among the top 10 destinations for German weapons in 2017. “If Germany has a problem with supplying weapons to Saudi Arabia, we would not put Germany under pressure.
