Man who destroyed Arkansas Ten Commandments statue destroyed similar statue in Oklahoma
The man who allegedly destroyed the new Ten Commandments monument at the Arkansas Capitol was accused in 2014 of destroying a similar statue at the Oklahoma Capitol. Secretary of State’s Office spokesman Chris Powell says Capitol Police arrested Michael Reed, 32, early Wednesday. Police have not released additional details about his motives in Arkansas, but in a Facebook video, he said he was defending constitutional rights to all religions. He blamed psychotic breaks in the 2014 Oklahoma incident.
