I've probably done a terrible job formatting all of this, since I changed my mind about three times, but I really wanted to get this put together some way. This is a charity I've actually given money to personally... so... I'm more than a little mad right now.
The whole story makes no sense to me. First the U.S. Military said it was collateral damage, then it said it was called in for by the Afghan forces, then said it was attacking Taliban forces in the courtyard of the hospital. Though, the hospital is apparently a gated area and none of the workers reported seeing armed forces near them. They said they were firing in support of U.S. forces at first, then reversed and said it was called in by the Afghans. And the general wording is like it was a single bomb dropped or something, instead of multiple passes with a C130, which would logically have more time to realize any targeting or coordinate errors.
We spend millions to make all these super precise weapons, right? So how did was just 'accidentally' flatten a marked civilian target?
