The Greatest Day In Hip-Hop History: Possibly the most iconic image in hip hop.
On the 29th of September, 1998 XXL linked up with Gordon Parks (director of Shaft) to stage a photoshoot paying homage to "A great day in Harlem", which was a similar photo shoot assembling some of the greatest jazz musicians of the time. XXL got together some of the best new school and old school artist for this photo shoot, creating possibly the greatest image in hip hop history.
