The military is getting hoverbikes
The US has joined together with a UK company to help it build a hoverbike, like those seen in Star Wars.

Just like the hummer, can't wait for the pedestrian version...
Looks like Piasecki Airgeep from half a century ago. They are presumably using modern RC yaw/pitch/roll sensors and controls. Overlapping rotors probably correct Airgeep's roll sensitivity.
They'd still have Airgeep's high disk loading. High disk loading makes low efficiency, meaning high power required, high fuel consumption, and low lift ability.
