New 'Legend of the Galactic Heroes' Manga to Debut on October 8
This year's 44th issue of Shueisha's Young Jump magazine is announcing on Thursday that Ryu Fujisaki ('Shiki', 'WaqWaq') will launch a new 'Legend of the Galactic Heroes' manga in the magazine's next issue, which Shueisha will publish on October 8. The first 60-page chapter will have a color opening page.

Production I.G opened a website on August 13 to announce that it will produce a new anime project based on Yoshiki Tanaka's 'The Legend of the Galactic Heroes' novels in 2017. The tagline on the official website states, "In 2017, the history of the galaxy will once more..."
