What's Net Neutrality worth, when big behemoths on the net censor themselves and their users?
I thought Net Neutrality had been gutted years ago. No?
Yes, very true, and I think we're talking about the last remnants of it. One thing I find really crazy about all those bans, censoring and whatnot: does anybody know about ToR? I mean, that is very useful for anyone who thinks the internet should be free for anyone to post whatever the hell they want.
So... here you have that fun slippery slope of a private company doesn't have to follow the first amendment... I'm all for net neutrality and find all of this just stupid, but I am torn on this, we have gone through months of news programs now reminding us that private companies don't have to allow free speech because it only applies to the government. Wouldn't it be easier to let the free market dictate this, oh wait, most places there is little to no competition in that market.
Censoring to stop censorship. OK! <Rolls eyes>
