Earlier this summer, an article regarding Jennifer Lopez pointed out that the singer used to have budgets upward of $1 million for music videos earlier in her career, but her budgets have dropped to one-tenth of that. Lopez was quoted saying, “What great idea can I come up with that costs nothing?” While the Internet has changed the way we share music – in turn changing how music is made – it has allowed everyone to have their 15 minutes of fame.
