The property term is independentists. For the same reason the 4th of July in the US is not called separation day.
All I did is copy the words from the article.
I know. The vocabulary from the adversaries of those movements is qui pervasive.
It's the same in Canada, the English press will always write "separatists" (though that might have something to do with their biases).
