My question,is,as always, that do they do with the radioactive material, leave it there?
My understanding is that the US has underground bunkers to store the waste in, the problem is I'm pretty sure we had an article on here some time back about the fact those tanks begin to break down over time and are in need of repair or replacement. It really is a problem though because they only have two real choices, put it in these storage tanks or leave it in the pools, unless somebody wants to pay for and risk shipping it into space and making super aliens.
