Exactly why I don't use most IOT devices: I feel their security is sub-par, or at the very least there is no transparency about security. Consumers are not told about best security practices for their IOT device.
Same here for those reasons and the simple fact that their real reason to exist is to snoop on you and sell your info to advertisers.
