To me, the main value of the fossils is for study. Sure, they make sure museum trinkets for folks like me to gawk at. And sure, they make great finds for local governments to thump their chests about. But it's the knowledge the fossils can bring that is valuable, not the artifact itself. Put fossils in the hands of the researchers, not the money bags.
