July 'hottest month on record worldwide'
In its monthly global climate report released online on Thursday, NOAA said many countries and the world's oceans experienced heatwaves, with the Earth's oceans temperature also hitting record highs last month. This July was the all-time highest monthly temperature in the records that date back to 1880, at 61.86 degrees Fahrenheit (16.61 degree Celsius), according to NOAA.

And yet in Scotland we had the coldest july since I was born.

It was the same for my area. Certainly not a record like yours, but I noticed it was an abnormally cool and rainy summer where I live so it was a surprise to hear it was so hot elsewhere.
ah know right? I was promised being able to sit up on the Hills with a cocktail in a coconut and enjoying 15+ degree scorching heat xD
