Federal judge dismisses class action lawsuit over Flint water crisis
A class action lawsuit seeking $150 million in damages from the Flint water crisis was dismissed Tuesday by a federal court judge. U.S. District Judge John Corbett O’Meara said jurisdiction was improper because the plaintiff’s claims fall under the federal Safe Water Drinking Act and suggested the plaintiffs refile their case in state court. The suit alleged that tens of thousands of residents have suffered physical and economic injuries and damages.
