Stop trying to kill the headphone jack
Over a year ago, I wrote about how phone makers were starting to do away with headphone jacks. I’ve seen this unfortunate trend – which I hoped would just be a passing fad – continue to plague devices well into 2017, and it looks like we’re still in danger of losing one of the most essential features our phones have to offer today.

I would never entertain getting a phone without a headphone jack, it's insane to me. I saw on reddit that this topic came up and one of the people responded that it's a great format that has been around forever and doesn't change and that means they can't get more money from it or license the proprietary tech to headphone makers. Kind of like the FM modules have been disabled even though they are built into most phones so Verizon and company can sell you V-Music or whatever.
I still have a damn car radio with an aux cable built into the back of it running under the dash. That's better to me than Bluetooth.
I really hate this push to be the thinnest thing around, give me a thick phone with a two-day battery and stereo speakers with a headphone jack.
