    It's kind of funny how so many protests are happening but they're not changing anything Trump is doing.

      Don't be so sure about that. He was rumored to be releasing an anti-LGBT statement this week, and has now backed down.

        By the way I didn't see anywhere in the article of a rumor

          If you do a Google news search for "Trump anti LGBT" you'll turn up hundreds of sources. Here's one. Here's a second. Here's a third.

            From what I understand FADA is bringing the anti-discrimination laws back to the state level. I don't fully support the decision but I do like having a more populist country.

              FADA would ban the federal government from taking action against discrimination. That is NOT a good thing.

              Basically, the act paves the way for colleges, private businesses and government offices to turn away LGBTQ people and anyone else not reserving their sexual relations to a "marriage … of one man and one woman." And it would leave the government with no recourse to punish such discrimination through financial penalties. For example, a college that issues a new policy stating that only students in heterosexual marriages may attend would not lose any portion of the approximately $76 billion the federal government spends on higher education each year, according to a Pew Charitable Trusts study. Again, a Google news search will provide you with additional information. Don't just believe one story.

              @gladsdotter -

              I did research it and that's what I understood from it. If Trump does go through with FADA I'll call my representative.

              You can call allowing anti-LGBTQ discrimination a Japanese high tea ceremony if you like, still is what it is.

              It is good news. Here's hoping it's not reversed a month or two down the line.

        LGBT laws will not be redecided. Look up Stare Decisis

        Edit: was thinking of Obergefell v. Hodges but said Roe v. Wade lol
