Is Abandoning a Pet a Crime?
Every day people abandon a pet that was supposed to be their responsibility, leaving them to fend for themselves. It's cruel but is it a crime? It certainly should be.

When you bring an animal into your home, it carries all the responsibilities of a baby. And, like the baby, it is part of the family. If it does something silly and injures itself, you get it fixed. And you pay for it. Can't get veterinary care on the NHS unfortunately. I've moved twice with cats. I didn't even consider properties where they would not have outdoor access, exactly the way I would search for wheelchair accessibility. Fewer options but so what? Animals have needs too.
