'Cities: Skylines' Succeeds Where EA's 'SimCity' Failed

I'm actually just about to download this via Steam. My wife and I bought SimCity, expecting a worthwhile addition to the series and could not have felt more ripped off. Aside from everything else - it never actually worked. It released as a late alpha and never quite made it to beta.
