Okay with me. Homeland Security got it's start in 2001,11 days after 911. President Bush proposed the Homeland Security Act in 2002 and congress passed it. After we get Homeland defunded (lol) should the FBI take up the slack?

Homeland Security was meant to coordinate law enforcement agencies, however it has gone way beyond that. The tactics of the NSA are deplorable. 9/11 provided an excuse for increased government surveillance, something for which every government strives , full control over every individual. It's the nature of any bureaucracy. However our nation was founded on law(s), supposedly all based on the Constitution. Search and seizure without probable cause, to me being a prime directive. The NSA is an illegal agency, as is the illegal sharing of information concerning American citizens across separate governmental agencies, along with coercion of private business to share their's. This is the shit of Stalin, Hitler, etc, enhanced/modernized with a digital age format...After defundization? the pre-existing agencies would have to coordinate/ colaborate on their own, and from many reports H.S. has done a sad job of even that.

That pretty much sums it up.
