The company has now started testing a dashboard update that enables removes the Xbox Live Gold requirement to play free-to-play games online.

They aren't really "free"and we all know it.
Good direction to go, I think eventually we will be seeing alot of this as their are more micro transactions with everything we do. It makes sense to go this route.
Yep I think this is the next significant shift coming over the next several years. The gaming business model is always changing and evolving.
