Man With Plastic Bag On Head Tries, And Fails, To Rob 7-Eleven
A man was arrested Saturday night after allegedly trying to rob a 7-Eleven with a plastic bag on his head. It happened at the 7-Eleven on Smithfield Street downtown, just before midnight Saturday. Police say 47-year-old Anthony Riegel, of Butler, handed a cashier a handwritten note demanding cash while wearing a white plastic bag on his head that had a hole cut out of it so he could see. However, the employee wouldn’t hand over any cash, so Riegel took off.
