What specials did you watch? If you watch anything from the mid 90s on, you start to see him get less and less "comic-y" (whatever that means) and more serious and angry. However, if you go back to his earlier specials from the 70s and 80s there are a lot fewer rants and a lot more jokes, while maintaining the same level of insightfulness. I'd say two of my favorites are Jammin In New York and What Am I Doing in New Jersey, so I'd recommend checking those out if you haven't. Carlin at Carnegie is also really good.

Not really surprising. There was a decent amount of time between the release of Skyrim and the announcement of FO4, and it almost seems like BGS's dev cycle is getting longer. As long as it leads to better games, I don't mind (although I have a few reservations about FO4...).

Gogol Bordello are definitely an interesting band lol I've always been a big fan of their song Start Wearing Purple

Are there any major differences between Torch and Chrome that I (as a not too heavy user and non-web dev) might notice? Does Torch support a similar number/variety of extensions and how are its benchmarks?

Not to jump on any conspiracy bandwagon, but I have to wonder if she really was just a scapegoat. If they really have bee working on her resignation for weeks, I wonder if the plan all along was to make changes to the site that they knew wouldn't fly and then, to appease the angry masses, ssacrifice Ellen. At the very least, I don't think any of the changes they've made will be rolled back.
