Egypt: Same court sentences hundreds to death for second time in a month

The same Egyptian judge who sentenced over 500 people to death last month is at it again, having sentenced another 680 individuals to death on April 28.

    According to an Amnesty International employee interviewed by The Guardian, the defense in the execution cases were not allowed to present evidence or call witnesses, and many of the accused were not in court. And then of course there are questions regarding how hundreds of people can be equally culpable in the death of one individual.
