Taiwan, Japan medical associations to sign mutual support memorandum
Taipei, July 4 (CNA) The Taiwan Medical Association and the Japan Medical Association will sign a memorandum of emergency mutual support in case of disasters, enabling medical personnel to give low-level medical treatments in each other's country under the supervision of the colleagues of the hosting country.

This is great. I mean, it depends on how far "low level" goes (I assume it refers to what things they can actually do), but it would be good that Japan and Taiwan are able to assist each other in times of need. Certainly, Taiwan is overwhelmed with the recent disaster at a water park in Bali, New Taipei City, so it would be nice to be able to accept help from Japan. This applies in the reverse, should another disaster (heavens forbid) occur.
